artSPACE durban is an initiative in Durban, South Africa that opened its doors in 2003. artSPACE durban is located in a warehouse in a light industrial area of Durban, South Africa. artSPACE durban is a SPACE for artists of all disciplines to interact within. There are three galleries to exhibit in and on the floor above are artists studio spaces to rent.
aSd offers a professional artist's agency function focused on networking, collaborative commissions and large-scale public and private sector partnerships and projects.
aSd offers exhibitions, marketing, sales promotion and venue hire facilities to both artists and those interested in developing the contemporary visual arts by way of acquisitions or project development.
aSd will position itself by actively and proactively servicing (and creating) initiatives in new media and techniques, particularly the need to facilitate and communicate with social change and identity programs
